Periodontal disease is estimated to affect 20% of Australians and on average between 2% to 4% of implants fail. Early detection and biofilm control is crucial in the prevention and treatment of periodontal and peri-implant diseases.
The Guided Biofilm Therapy Protocol and the development of AIRFLOW® and PLUS Powder have caused a paradigm shift in biofilm management including less trauma to periodontal and peri-implant tissues and patients. In this lecture you’ll learn:
- The new Periodontal and Peri-Implant disease classification
- Current Concepts in Periodontal Therapy
- Periodontal and Implant Maintenance
- Guided Biofilm Therapy – what is it and how to incorporate it into your daily practice
The battle against biofilm is a team effort. Bring the whole team along to learn the latest technological advances in perio and implant maintenance and enjoy networking with other like-minded peers. Participants will have an opportunity to send a clinical case to Dr Meredith Owen for open discussion during the lecture and there will be ample opportunities for Q&A throughout with evening.
